Before I started using this Steel Grate my fire would just smolder & smoke every time I attempted to start it up putting off so much smoke that it filled up the house. I also had the same problem with the smoke when I was successful at starting the fire with keeping it going throughout the day. The Steel Grate has solved my smoldering smoke problem filling up the house. It's easier to start the fire and it lasts a lot longer using the Steel Grate! I would recommend this product to anyone who has a smaller wood burner or smaller fireplace.
