(More customer reviews)In over five years of transactions with Amazon, I've not been this disappointed at all. I ordered the stainless steel product displayed, but I kept receiving the aluminum product. This happened three times though I returned the merchandise with my reason clearly explained. I guess it's the age of machines for if a human eye had read my reason, there was no way s/he could have sent me the aluminum expresso maker three times.
On balance, this is just a small event in my overall relationship as a customer, which I can certainly overlook. However, Amazon should look into this matter because even for them, this business plan is not at all efficient. Amazon incurred six shipping charges and didn't even make the sale.

(More customer reviews)I am thrilled beyond words! I so love this little pot! It is gorgeous and so able to produce great coffee. I was able to successfully make a mocha that far surpassed any I have spent $4-5 on. This little pot is just so cool! First, its adorable, actually quite a beautiful piece. Its heavy stainless steel, has a great feel in your hands. Very well made, with the cute Bialetti logo engraved on side. Second, its extremely easy to use. Third, it makes a great cup of strong, delicious coffee! Fourth, its very VERY easy to clean. Here's how I make the best mocha and latte: follow directions on your pot for filling the bottom with water, fill the coffee filter with Dunkin Donuts ground coffee (yes, all you coffee snobs, DD coffee worked fabulously!) level with your finger, but DO NOT TAMP. Dust off edge of reservoir, screw on top part of pot. Place on med/hi NOT HIGH, heat and be careful to situate so you dont burn the handle. Stay close, cuz in about 5min it will be done. Meanwhile, place 1C milk in micro for 1.5min, then place in the Nissan stainless steel handpump frother. Pump until milk is sufficiently frothed. Add 2Tbl chocolate syrup in mugs (I used Hersheys Dark, great results) When your coffee is done, pour between the 2 mugs, then top off with about 1/3 mug of frothed milk in each. Such a simple pleasure. Too clean, just rinse with hot water and wipe dry. I'm in love with this pot!

Bialetti 6800 Moka Express 6-Cup Stovetop Espresso Maker Review

(More customer reviews)Every family in Italy owns one of these machines. Here are a few tips:
1. In Italy this is NOT called an espresso machine, but a Moka machine. An espresso is what you would drink in bar made with a steam or high pressure machine with the crema on top.
2. Smaller size Moka machine tend to make better coffee.
3. Never wash the Moka with detergents, just rinse it under tap water
4. You've gotta use it often for a good coffee.
5. If you haven't use it in a while, make a weak coffee ("lungo") and discard
6. DO NOT put the MOka in the dishwasher.
7. Use drinking water. Avoid tap water especially if very chlorinated
8. Never compress the coffee.
9. For a strong coffee fill the filter with ground coffee and make a small cupola that slightly protrudes beyond the rim. Do not press down.
10. For best coffee, heat at very low heat. It's ok if it takes 10min.
11. As soon as coffee reaches the top, remove from heat
12. Do not let the coffee boil
13. Use good quality coffee, not too strong, medium grind (try Illy for a good commercial brand)
14. Sip while still hot, enjoy!

(More customer reviews)I guessed that the 3-cup version was what I needed for our 4-cup stainless steel Bialetti pot, and luckily I was right. The gasket's outer diameter is 2.5 inches, and the ring is 0.25 inches wide.
It is the real deal, Bialetti product - a package of 3 gaskets plus a replacement filter. A great deal at this price.
This came from J&R, and arrived in only a couple days with standard shipping. I'm totally, completely satisfied!
